Relationship Therapy

Imagine waiting 6 years to seek treatment for a serious illness

Communication and relationship satisfaction are at the core of most of Doc B’s research. In the therapy room, Doc B has been working to become trained in each of the different approaches described in his research. This work results in a focus on helping those in relationships to develop fulfilling and meaningful relationships using a wide-variety of evidence-based tools. This applies to all forms of relationships from those dating all the way through couples that have been together for decades. Doc B has also worked to gain experience working with individuals who identify across the gender and sexuality spectrum to strive for a safe and accepting place for all.

Doc B is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Conjoint Therapy, and other approaches that are shown helpful for couples navigating troubled waters. With Doc B’s experience working with children’s behavioral issues and training in trauma treatment, he can assist with a wide variety of emotional or behavioral complications.

Please don’t wait until the relationship has weathered about as many storms as it can. You can drastically change the way you relate to one another with simple strategies that are proven to be effective through decades of research, even some published by Doc B!

We wanted to express our thanks to you for working with us these past four months. The various communication strategies have been very helpful as we navigate our 45-year-old marriage relationship. Each week you came up with new suggestions for us to try for the week and beyond. So many strategies you brought to us: admiration/appreciation, learning our love languages, time out, mindfulness, breathing exercises, managing conflict, being a good listener, clarifying expectations, dealing with anger, and suggesting various resources to us along the way. We think the most we appreciate meeting with you is your honesty and real life examples you shared with us. You always demonstrated an interest in helping us deal with our extended family difficulties we were experiencing. Thank you so much for your patience, faithfulness, and flexibility.
